Injector faults are common on the Vauxhall Vivaro, Renault Trafic and Nissan Primastar vans fitted with the 2.0L M9R engine and although the injectors on this engine are very prone to failure we would always recommend that you confirm a faulty injector before attempting removal.

Removing the injectors on these vehicles is usually very difficult often requiring up to 20 tons of force, especially on vehicles after 2010 as these are fitted with a different type of injector.
Due to the design of this engine, the cylinder head cannot be removed with the injectors in place, this means that if the injectors become seized into the cylinder head owners are often quoted large amounts of money to have a new cylinder head or engine fitted.
Extreme care must be taken if you are attempting to remove these injectors yourself. There are a number of tools available including the vehicle manufacturers own puller, the main problem is that unless the injectors are relatively loose, these tools will either break the top from the injector or strip the threads.
Even if the injector thread is broken, stripped or damaged, please contact us to discuss our Broken Injector Removal service.
